For people with such strong disgust for their president you wonder why he got re-elected back in 2004.

Re: re-elected in 2004 — who says he did?

Check out this AP Photo of the President and some f***ing a**hole that bankrupted our country and killed 1,000,000+ people.

Correction. I’m referring to the famous Florida Recount… That was in 2000.

I know. I know. But by then GW and his thugs had four whole years to introduce tens of thousands of new electronic voting machines and ban hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) more from being able to vote at all.

So what you’re saying is that its all an illusion. They make us (or in this case the US) think they have the power…but if they don’t like how things are turning out, they find ways to cover up the truth and ultimately do what they want.

Ok, so you rig the polls to get into office for another 4 years. What does that do in the end after your term is over? It was kinda all for not, especially when someone else comes into office and completely changes what you’ve set into motion. Seems kind of silly to want that kind of power seeing as how it is only temporary.

  5. canuck99 says:

Wow, you’re moving along the logic ladder rather quickly, mandycat. Why indeed?

First off, whoever is in charge of the US presidency has control of quite literally the largest corporation in the world (a.k.a. the US government and, more specifically, the budget for the US). So in four years you can line you and your friends’ pockets with an awful lot of pork-barrel loot. So four, or in this case, eight years is worth probably trillions of dollars in corrupt gains.

Second, I’m not so convinced that the Democratic and the Republican party machines are really all that different — just two sides of the same coin. Remember that Bush and Kerry, the last two presidential candidates, both graduated from Yale and were both members of the same fraternity (known as Skull and Bones). So these two guys are not exactly representative of the large cross-section of American cultures–they are effectively from the same clan, or if you prefer: old boys club.

The powers behind both parties, I therefore suggest, are one in the same. So whether you vote Republican or Democrat you are voting in the same band of thieves.

It’s time, in my view, to totally clean house–as the founders of the US Constitution said was the duty of every American citizen to do should the need arise.
